On his arrival in New Taipei city SG, IBC Shartse Khensur Rinpoche Jangchup Choeden visited the Gaden Shartse’s branch centre in New Taipei city. SG, IBC Shartse Khensur Rinpoche Jangchup Choeden was responsible for building this centre from scratch. During his visit, a short ceremony with the presence of the present Abbot of Gaden Shartse Monastery was held.

SG, IBC at the official birthday celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Shartse Khensur Rinpoche Jangchup Choeden, Secretary General of the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), attended the official celebration of the birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Taiwan on 30^th June, 2024. This event was organized by the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) representative office in Taipei. The celebration included prayers for the long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Approximately 100 monks and 80 laypersons were present to participate in this significant event, highlighting the strong community support and reverence for the Dalai Lama. Currently, His Holiness is in New York healing after a successful Knee surgery.
