His Excellency Mr. Moe Kyaw Aung, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to India invited Director General, IBC at the 'Mah?saddhammajotikadhaja' title conferring Ceremony on Sunday, 26 May 2024, at the Myanmar Embassy in New Delhi. The prestigious award was conferred by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of the Union Government of Myanmar to Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Founder President, Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) in Ladakh, Ven Dr. Dhammapiya, Chancellor and Chairman, Dhamma Dipa International University, Tripura and former Secretary General of IBC and Ven Yassa. The prestigious award was conferred in recognition of their contribution to the purification, perpetuation and propagation of Buddha Dhamma.Ven. Bhikkhu Sanghasena is the Executive Member of IBC and Ven Dr. Dhammapiya is one of the Presidents in IBC.

The award was given in the presence of Abhidhaja Maharatthaguru Agga Maha Pandita, Most Ven Sitagu Sayadawgyi, Dr. Ashin Nyanissara, Chancellor, Sitagu International Buddhist Academy, Yangon and Abhidhaja Maharattha Guru Most Ven Dr Bhaddanta Nyanesar Maha Thera of Kushinagar, as Guest of Honour.
