As a commitment to cultural preservation, Dhamma dialogue, and youth engagement, The International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Ministry of Culture hosted a special visit to the Buddha Exhibition at the IGNCA Campus, New Delhi on 14th August 2025, bringing together students from Delhi university and venerable monks from different countries. The exhibition titled “Buddha Śāsanam Ciram Tiṣṭhatu” depicted the outreach of Buddhism across Asia and around the world. The Director General of IBC, Shri Abhijit Halder was the distinguished Chief Guest at the exhibition. He gave insights on the spread of Buddhism and mentioned how students from different countries, where Buddhism is practiced, were present on the occasion to celebrate the sentiments attached to spirit of the Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. He also gave a background on the Exposition of Holy Buddha Relics in Vietnam which took place from 2nd May-2nd June 2025.

The IBC also organized the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign near the exhibition venue, celebrating 78 years of India’s Independence, following which, two documentary films were showcased - “The Dissemination of Buddha Dhamma in Asia” and the “Relic Journey in Vietnam”.

The documentary films that were showcased were in house productions of IBC. The first documentary shed light on the origin of Buddha Dhamma in the Indian subcontinent during the times of Emperor Ashoka of the Mauryan Empire. His efforts towards the dissemination of Buddha Dhamma was thoroughly demonstrated. The second documentary showcased the efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India and IBC in organizing the sacred relic exposition in Vietnam. The importance of the Buddha’s holy relics exposition was discussed by The Director General of IBC, Shri Abhijit Halder. The holy relics of Buddha travelled from Sarnath, India to Vietnam, and over 17 million Vietnamese paid homage to the holy relics when they were being transported covering nine provinces in Vietnam. The exposition of the sacred relics held profound significance, particularly for those unable to travel, as it offered them a rare opportunity to partake in the spiritual experience when the holy relics reached their land. The Director General also mentioned about future sacred relics exposition to other countries.
