BIHAR TABLEAU SHINES AT REPUBLIC DAY 2025 WITH IBC'S FACILITATION

Sun, Jan 26, 2025

IBC in collaboration with State of Bihar Tableau and Vivid India is proud to participate at the Republic Day Parade 2025. We facilitated Theravada and Mahayana monks for the tableau as well as a performance of a Buddhist chant on Sunyata (Emptiness) rendered by Dr. Aditi Garg.

Bihar’s tableau at the Republic Day parade highlighted the cultural heritage of the region. It featured the Bodhi Tree and ancient Nalanda University. The display included Buddhist monks and a statue of Lord Buddha. The statue on the tableau features the replica of a 70-foot-tall Buddha statue at Ghora Katora lake in Rajgir. The original structure has a 16-metre radius pedestal, the statue is made up of 45,000 cubic feet of pink sandstone brought from Chunar in Uttar Pradesh.

In representing these elements of Buddhist heritage, IBC aims to foster greater awareness and appreciation that continues to shape India’s identity. IBC reinforces how Buddha Dhamma has shaped India’s identity.
